Outdoor Pro’s progression predominantly focuses on learners’ holistic development. Although there is a development of physical skills and competencies, this is not the primary goal. Instead, Outdoor Pro aims to develop the emotional intelligence and well-being of children & young people. As a result of this, the Outdoor Pro assessment tool is largely based on the Leuven Scale.
Emotional well-being is particularly important for children. If children feel confident in their surroundings, they are more likely to learn productively and develop in a healthy way. Promoting an environment where children feel happy, safe and supported is key to this & the Outdoor Pro assessment tool will help you in establishing this.
